Cloudflare recently announced a round of product name changes across its networking and security lineup. If you use any of their “Magic” branded products, the names are changing — but everything else stays the same.

Why the Change

Cloudflare is retiring the “Magic” branding in favor of names that more clearly describe what each product does within a Zero Trust and SASE architecture. The goal is to make it easier for teams to understand how these products fit together.

What’s Changing

Here’s the full list of name updates:

  • Magic WAN is now Cloudflare WAN
  • Magic WAN IPsec is now Cloudflare IPsec
  • Magic WAN GRE is now Cloudflare GRE
  • Magic WAN Connector is now Cloudflare One Appliance
  • Magic Firewall is now Cloudflare Network Firewall
  • Magic Network Monitoring is now Network Flow
  • Magic Cloud Networking is now Cloudflare One Multi-cloud Networking

What You Need to Do

Nothing. No action is required on your end. All existing functionality, configurations, and billing remain exactly the same. You’ll just start seeing the new names in the Cloudflare dashboard and documentation.
