2Fifteen Email Protection

2Fifteen Tech Partners with Material Security for email protection.

Material Security approaches email security differently than most companies, providing several tools that work together to provide several layers of protection centered around your email. Email is the #1 threat vector used for cyber attacks, and with the recent explosion of AI tools, attacks are only getting more sophisticated.

Email protection can come in a few forms. For suspicious messages, a banner may be added to the email warning you to take extra caution with a message because it couldn't be verified to be legitimate, but it didn't have a strong enough indicator to be completely removed for you. You will often see this in messages that go to spam. Additionally, a "speed bump" will be added to any links in these messages reminding you that this may be malicious and verify that you actually want to follow a link. For messages known to be malicious, links will be completely blocked and the message will be deleted automatically.

Identity Protection

If you opt to have Identity protection enabled, then any email you get that is asking for a password reset will be overwritten with a message giving you a warning, and requiring that you log in again in order to view the message. This ensures that if your email is leaked there is an extra layer of protection on your account. The account login will be your Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 account, or Okta account depending on your specific identity provider.
